How can I get stuck thread out of a stone bead?
I’m working on restringing a necklace done originally with silk stringing cord and the cord is VERY stuck in one bead which large and double-strung (the bead is about 1″ tall)
Is there any fancy trick for getting the thread out?
I’m not sure there’s any fancy way of getting it out. If you burn the ends of the thread and cut the bead out you can limit the damage. I don’t know if heat will damage the beads. If they’re glass a little heat shouldn’t damage them. I’m afraid I would just throw out the thread and restring and knot.
