What is the best way to clean a Stainless Steel Tri Ply skillet?

This is a very expensive skillet, and my lovely son put an empty pop can in it and set the burner to high! Unfortunately, there was leftover oil in the skillet and it is a mess! I’m not sure if I can use a green scrubby or not. I’ve tried boiling water with dish soap, scrubbing with baking soda, and plain old hot water and soap. Appreciate any other ideas!
thanks for the answers so far! The oil has formed a yellow gummy paste around the entire upper 1/2 of the skillet. I don’t know if that helps to explain it better.
Got the cast iron, too, but I use it for certain things. My sister cannot believe I own 17 skillets and pans and I use them all weekly!

Try rubbing straight ammonia on the pan. It might need to soak a while
