sushi question…i got a variety pack and whats up with the sliver of shrimp on the big wad of rice…?

the only thing i taste is the rice, am i eating it wrong or is it like the time i ate the garnish on my plate at “denny’s”

LOL I have to agree with you on this one. I’m not sure when the shimp on the wad of rice became standard, but it is almost insulting. I like to call it, ‘insta-sushi.’ Its amazingly cost effective to make, and it ‘looks’ fancy to people who have never been to a sushi bar or a nice restaurant that serves it. Nigiri rolls are a FORM of sushi–its nigiri-zushi, much like maki-zushi.
