Who thinks Lee and Lincecum should be moved up to Game 4 of the World Series to pitch on short rest?
Lee should be moved up because Tommy Hunter has gotten shelled this postseason, and Lincecum should be moved up so the Giants can potentially take a 3-1 series lead (and besides, their other game 7 option would be -gulp- Sanchez or Bumgardner(sp?) on short rest.
Bad move by both managers, IMO. They are not thinking long term.
But both are the aces of their staff. And aren’t aces supposed to be workhorses?
If you know so much more about baseball than these managers do, then why not get yourself a job as a manager?
