If your child is interested in learning origami or you think he or she would be interested in learning origami, there are several places to find origami patterns for kids.
Whether your child is a beginner or needs advanced patterns, there are tons of places to find them, and often they can be found for free or extremely cheap- this is also a good way to learn origami yourself. Origami is an interesting hobby, and relatively simple- not to mention inexpensive- to do, there are many cultures where it is considered a true art form.
A really excellent place to find origami patterns for kids is craft websites specifically for kids. There are several good crafting websites out there which will provide you with either links to websites containing the patterns themselves or they will have the patterns on the website itself. A simple search engine search will help you find these easily enough.
Not to mention, there are several good online craft forums and message boards out there that will help you to network with people as well who will be able to help you find the patterns you are looking for. Posting a “wanted” message on a forum or message board is an easy and effective way to find what you need.
There are numerous monthly magazines and bi-monthly magazines out there specifically for crafts, and some even dedicated to origami itself. These can be a wonderful resource to find origami patterns for kids as well. You don’t even have to subscribe to them yourself, most of these can be found in craft stores, art supply stores and even book stores.
If you can’t find a magazine or website that you feel would suit your needs, there is always the option of buying actual BOOKS of patterns. These can be found in craft stores, art supply stores and especially book stores. Online auction websites and used book dealers online are an especially inexpensive way to find these books.
The added bonus to an actual book retailer is the fact that you can specially order exactly the book you want or need. This is a good way to find origami patterns for kids, especially if you have a preschool, childcare or classroom program to teach origami to children.
It’s not necessarily good money sense to special order pattern books if it’s only you and your child(ren) doing origami, unless you are both very serious about continuing the hobby and learning more about it. Origami is a beautiful craft and it’s a great way to make art with your own two hands, but it takes patience and is sometimes very time-consuming (depending on the pattern).
But, unlike with other hobbies, it’s easy enough and inexpensive enough to just start over with a fresh sheet of paper and see what unfolds, or rather- folds!

Kids craft with tissue paper, rubber cement, and plastic bottle?
Have I got this right? Little plastic bottle, stick on a piece of tissue paper, wipe rubber cement all over it, repeat until the vase is covered. This will work, right? Anything else to know? Thanks!
I prefer to use diluted glue. It is easier and less sticky. It also doesn’t smell like the rc does.
