What will get ( iron on glue )out of fabric?
When I iron on rhinestones on fabric t-shirts, or jean material etc., sometimes there will be a blob of glue there. I have tried nail polish remover, oops, grease lightening, and paint thinner. I’m concerned about having the color brought out or a hole melted in the favbric with trying different things to get it out
As far as I know, the only way is to get a special meshy material designed for this purpose (fabric store ladies should know what it is) lay it over the glue you want lifted, and re-iron it. The glue lifts into the mesh, and when you pull it off it should come away from the fabric.
There’s also a solvent called “Goo-Gone” that smells like oranges, but I don’t know if this stuff is safe to use on fabrics. I use it to get sticker adhesive off of CD cases and DVD cases.
