When I saw that Scrapbook Highway in Oxnard carried over 400 colors of cardstock, I was speechless. I love cardstock. I mount almost all of my photos so mixing and matching colors is so much fun for me.
Scrapbook Highway offers a free workshop area that seats 20. Their workshop area includes use of their computer, Quickutz and Sizzix die cut machines. There is also a children’s play area.
I was impressed with the amount of beginner classes offered at Scrapbook Highway. They ask you to bring in 6-8 photos. They will send you home with lots of ideas and a layout for your photos.
Teachers will receive a 10% discount on Thursday’s. I’m always happy to see stores support our wonderful teachers.
If you enjoy cars, you’ll want to visit The Murphy Auto Museum. They have over sixty autos on display, including antiques, early classics, street rods and a large collection of Packards.
If you have children, plan to visit Ventura County Gull Wings Children’s Museum. There are over 20 hands-on exhibits, a costume area, a moon room and a space center.
Oxnard is only 40 minutes away from beautiful Santa Barbara, with their shopping, dining, museums and more.

what’s your opinion of the cricut expression?
I am a scrapbook addict. Already done sizzix ( friend now has it as it is to heavy to take to crops or even move from table to storage area). I have a bundle invested in Quickutz. Love them. Computer illiterate so silhouette is out of the question. But I like the idea of type and cut letters and words etc…. so whats the deal with the cricut? any good? regrets on the 300+ purchuse? Is the expression size (12×24) really worth the extra 100+ over the smaller version……. Help me with your experience plz. And what’s the create I just heard about never seen in store yet.
I got a cricut expressions and sometimes I wish I had a sissix or something small like that. When you begin using the cricut is a little bit frustrating and with something manual well there’s not much science on how to use it
and you also have to think “am I really going to need to cut something that big as 12×24?
I say you are fine with what you have but if you are interested in cutting vinyl to decorate your home or cutting chipboard then you might need to thing about the cricut expressions, but the cartridges are expensive I buy mine on ebay or at Michaels when the have a sale on them like twice a year
so think about this “are you ready to learn a more complicated cutting system?
