what material should I use to fill a fake palm tree basket?
I am about to order a 5 foot fake areca palm tree from Ebay, but the palm tree will not be coming with a basket. I was thinking about getting a light tan woven basket to put the palm tree in. I was wondering if I should fill it with sand or something else? Anyone have suggestions on what would look good basket wise and what to fill the basket with?
You will need to weigh it down quite a bit. Make sure the container you get for it is solid enough to hold the weight and not see thru. Kitty litter works well, is cheap and heavy. Get some sphagnum moss from the craft store and spread it on the top to cover the litter. Good luck!
