Do I really need a tennis shoes in order to play good? What about a tennis hat and outfit?
I just start to play tennis. I am not sure should I spend on the shoes, hats and outfits? out of all, does tennis shoes a must for becoming a good player? my normal width of sneakers is 2E width(extra,extra wide width). Should I get 2E or just D for tennis shoes?
Starting out there are two things that you should have 1) a good racquet and 2) a good pair of shoes.
A good racquet can be last years model or the year before which you should be able to pick up cheap meaning under $75. Technology is advancing quite rapidly so you should have a frame developed in the past 3 or 4 years if you want to play good. The Wilson hTour 95 or even 105 since you are just starting is a good frame or the Head Liquidmetals in the 102 to 107 square inch head size. From newest to oldest in the Wilson line is the kFactor, nCode2, cCode, hTour all of which are good frames and cost wise are expensive, less expensive, cheaper, cheapest. Here is an example.

Be careful to get the proper grip size for you. You need a small enough grip that you can control the racquet and not injure your wrist or hand. Usually 4 1/4 or 4 3/8 for young ladies. That’t the 105 which is slightly larger but still the grip might be too big for you. But great prices eh?
Shoes are important for support, and stability and need to fit properly. Since you have a wide foot get a pair of New Balance tennis shoes in whatever size the clerk suggests after they measure you.
