Two neodymium magnets stuck together? how do i pull them apart?
I have two magnets, both neodymium grade 42. Extremely strong. So, they got stuck together, and now i need to pull them apart. They are cubish, but more like rectangular prisms. One is about the size of a tennis ball maybe? And the other is a little smaller. I have had this problem before, but I managed to pull them apart by putting it on the edge of a table, while one magnet was sticking out. I used a steel bowl and put it on top of the magnet sticking over the table and managed to get it off after a long time. But, it wont work anymore. Is their any other way? PLEASE HELP ASAP.
Drive a knife between them with a hammer. That will create a small crack. Use a larger knife, if necessary, or stick a thin wedge of wood into the crack. Drive a second knife to split the wood piece. Drive a second wood wedge in between the two halves of the first peice of wood, etc.
