How do you do this math i dont understand it please help me ?
21.mount everest at 8850m is the worlds highest peak. how high is a diagram of the mountain if the scale used is 1:100000 22.the smallest recorded postage stamp issued by colombian state of bolivar was 8mm wide by 9.5mm long.draw a scale model of the stamp using the scale 0.5cm represents 1mm please show work and number off answers thanks
You didn’t give the units or which way the ratio works for 21. But for 22. You can use two ratio fractions. So,
1 mm/0.5 cm = 8 mm/x cm
x = 4 cm after cross multiplying (x * 1 = 0.5 * 
For the other side
1 mm/0.5 cm = 9.5 mm/x cm
x = 4.75 cm
So, you would draw a box 4 cm wide by 4.75 cm long.
