Where should I place the cutter on a metal lathe?
I’m turning down the outside of a 6″ pipe to lessen the wall thickness. Should my cutter be placed exactly at the center line of the pipe or just slightly below?
Dead nuts ON Center.
Slow turning speed and use some cutting oil.
