What are these tiny, clear 1 inch worms that attached to my husbands skin and sucked his blood?
My husband stuck his hand into a puddle while working outside and when he pulled it out he thought he had a cut.. after looking a little more into it he realized he has tiny, 1/2 inch to 1-2 inch, clear worm like things attached to the skin on his hand. They were sucking his blood and as they would get full they would turn red because their bodies are clear. We cant find any info on these so anything would be helpful!
They sound like a new type of leach. Put some in a small container and take them to the county
health department. You may have a new species there, or an invasive species they are not aware of.
