Help with advanced section…….. on CCleaner?
Hello,
Im getting a new computer and they guys at the shop said they would come ot my house and transfer the stuff frm the old computer. so then my brother tells me his is scared they are going to find traces of his porn… yes i know, im sorry you had to know that…
but anyways i downloaded CCleaner and was wondering about the advanced section….
Old prefetch data
menu order cache
tray notification cache
windows size/locations cache
user assist history
hotfix uninstallers
costoms files and folders
wipe free space
should I do these???

Unless there was a virus/spyware infection then you don’t need to do those.
As a last check, you can search the computer for all image files and/or all movie files. Obviously this won’t show what’s in cookies and history and such, but will eliminate any obvious traces. CC is excellent.
And hey, they’ve seen pr0n before, I’m sure.
