Is a large glass of wine every evening excessive drinking?
I enjoy a large glass of wine (usually red) every evening – I’m worried this is doing damage to my liver…is it too much?
A glass, a standard wine glass, is not excessive. But the question you should be asking yourself is this: Do you drink it because you enjoy it, or because you “need” it? Answering that question will tell you if your glass of wine is excessive.
Also, reading the above comments, you should look into the health benefits and the latest research yourself. I have seen the studies that say a glass of red is good for you, but I have also seen ones that say the benefit is actually negligible.
And about your liver, if you are really worried, see a doctor. Answers here are no substitute for speaking to a real doctor.
