How do you treat a eye after it has been burnt?
I was using a grinder to trim medal & was even wearing glasses to protect my eyes, but somehow a few sparks flew inside and now I have a dot on my pupil thats burning- What do I do to ease the pain?
Eye injuries are nothing to dismiss or try and treat on your own, so please go be seen by an eye doctor or ER if necessary. They will prescribe some eye gel and/or drops, since it’s crucial to keep this ‘spot’ free from infection & properly hydrated during healing. They may even recommend an eye patch, since any additional exposure (such as sunlight) would worsen the burn. Any over the counter ‘drops’ are generally useless for this type of injury since they could mask a more serious development and thus cause more harm than good. If you are not current on your tetanus shot, you should get one of those as well (yes, for a burn).
