Just for fun, you want to offer a few random possibilities for why I am irrationally offended by love in anime?
I fall onto the floor and foam at the mouth whenever I see so much as a kiss happening in the anime world. Other forms of animation don’t get to me like that, and I don’t find it objectionable in real-life programs.
Well typical shounen(aimed at teenage boys) romances always take five thousand years to develop (the plot moves too slow), and the main characters are, for lack of a better word, retarded.
Shoujo(aimed at teenage girls) romances just about always involve two girls fighting for one guy. The art style is just weird, it’s more teenage angst than romance, and there is nothing that can be described as a plot.
As for kissing…most anime characters don’t have lips (what are they kissing with?), and kiss scenes aren’t drawn that great. The animation quality of kiss scenes is nothing amazing.
This isn’t irrational at all XD.
