Does sateen fabric stretch?
I am going to buy some fabric, I like interlock, but there are some patterns that I like that only are available in sateen. I am making some clothing items and they need to be able to stretch and not be restrictive. Does sateen stretch? I may go down to a fabric store to feel different kinds of fabrics, but not RIGHT NOW so that’s why I’m asking ONLINE 
No sateen fabrics do not stretch, look at stretch knits, that is what most clothing items are made of. In fact sateen is very restrictive because of the tightly woven threads that mead up the fabric.
