Have you heard about the new Cricut Jukebox? If you own either the Expression or Personal Electronic Cutter die cut machines by Provo Craft, then there is a good chance you have heard about it. Even so, there may be a good chance that you are not completely sure what it does, or even if you need one. If this sounds like you, keep reading to find out more about this newest addition to the Cricut family.
You may have heard others say that the Jukebox is an overpriced storage machine. Sure, it is great for storage, and I will address that first. Keep in mind, however, that storage is just one part of the package. This little gadget has a lot more to offer!
To get back on track – yes, it’s great for storage. It’s even known as a “cartridge holder”. Why? Well, because it can hold up to six cartridges, and even has room in the base for storing the design booklets and overlays. That’s right, no more rooting through desk drawers and shuffling through scrapbook supplies to find what you need. It’s all together in one place!
The folks at Provo Craft also know how much we like to scrap together, so they made the Cricut Jukebox “tote-ably” perfect! It is lightweight and has a handle, so it is easy to tote from room to room, and even house to house.
Now, for the best part…
I probably don’t have to tell you that your die cut machine has only one port for loading cartridges, which makes switching between them a real hassle. The one-port problem became an even bigger issue when the Design Studio software was introduced earlier this year. If you are not familiar with the software, it allows you to mix and match die cuts from several cartridges to make your own custom pieces.
You can plug your Cricut Jukebox into the single port on your Expression or Personal Electronic Cutter, so where you once could only use one cartridge, you can now use six. Actually, you can use up to eighteen cartridges, because you can link up to three Jukebox cartridge holders together. As you can see, if you invest in this handy gadget, switching cartridges in and out will become a distant memory.
The last question you probably are left with is “So, how much?”. The Cricut Jukebox debuted with a suggested retail price of $89.99. However, by doing a little comparison shopping, it is easy to find it for considerably less.

Which die cutter is best?
I was wanting some opinions on die cutters, I am relatively new to card making, still in the beginners stage, but would like to get a die cutter. Is the cuttlebug the best one to start with? Is it any good?
Whoa, get the Sizzix Big Kick (or Big Shot- same machine) over the Cutterbug. The Big Kick is a much better machine. It can cut vellum, metal, basal wood and any kind of cardstock. It can cut any one elses dies. The Cuttlebug can not take the long 12″ dies that are out now. I have used Spellbinders, Quickutz and Cuttlebug dies in my Sizzix machine. Sizzix can cut much larger dies than the Cuttlebug.
I have been scrapbooking for over 10years and my sister works in a scrapbook store.
I will agree the Cuttlebug embossing folders are great. I use them with ease in my Sizzix machine
