Problem with Paasche Airbrush?

I have a Paasche double action internal mix airbrush. I haven’t used it in a few years and only used it once before then but I just bought a constant flow air compressor to use with it that was used for a paint sprayer. It’s supposed to put out 20-30 psi. When attached the air is flowing out of the brush nicely but when I press back the finger lever for the color to come out nothing happens, just plain air flows still with no paint. Im using createx airbrush paints that are water based…Could it be that the compressor isn’t giving enough enough pressure? Do I need a compressor with a tank instead of a constant flow? HELP!
