Should I sell or scrap my car and if so, how can I get the most money for it?
I have a 2000 5-door Renault Clio with 90,000 miles on the clock. No Rolls Royce, but it got me from A to B. However, the clutch needs completely replaced costing £400 and it’s MOT has expired which will mean more £££ and the car cannot be driven unless to an MOT. I can’t afford a new car and would like to know:-
Should I scrap it and join a car club or pay for the repairs & MOT and get another year out of the old banger?
If not how can sell or scrap it it for the best price?
Sorry if this sounds thick, but it’s my first car and don’t know what to do.

If it still drives, book it in and take it for an MoT. If it fails miserably, scrap it – you’ve only ‘lost’ the MoT money. If it does okay on the test, then it would be worth considering a new clutch.
