Reaching out to religious people and speaking to them about Jesus Christ, Who is the only way to God, can be hazardous work, but this is one of the tasks of men who are called by Jesus Christ to be evangelists and pastors and spiritual leaders in the Church.
In the synagogue at sinfully sophisticated Ephesus, for three arduous months, Paul spoke boldly and persuasively about the Kingdom of God, and Jesus Christ, Who is the sole King of the Kingdom. There was a powerful anointed apostolic leader exercising the ministry to which Almighty God had called him, and it was not easy. Persuading people to put right what is wrong is seldom easy.
Nevertheless, God gave this dear man that vital task, only to be confronted with obstinacy and a sheer refusal to believe. It actually led to opening up a maligning of ‘the Way’ which was the then popular name for living faith in Jesus Christ.
‘The Way’, as we have it in the Bible is a beautiful description. Jesus said, “Follow Me”. It is so simple, but most challenging.
Jesus Christ can straighten out crooked circumstances, clean up dirty situations, clear away awkward confusing puzzling matters, and resolve various problems and difficulties.
Tragically, many don’t want Jesus telling them what to do, and how to live their lives, refusing to be melted by the Love of God, and led by the Holy Spirit.
Imagine speaking negatively of ‘The Way’, and slandering the very revelation of a holy God.
Paul left these people who had closed hearts and prejudiced minds, taking the group who wanted to listen and learn, to the lecture hall next door, where he taught them for two years. What a treasure house it would be to discover his lecture notes, but is that not what we have in the epistles and letters which he wrote?
A few weeks ago a youngish, skilled, competent man was busy at a computer where I was visiting. On the back of his black T-shirt was written, “God hates us all”. He was gently approached with these words,
“Excuse me, but the message on the back of your shirt is not true.”
It is good to seek to avoid every form of sin.
Slandering and speaking negatively of ‘The Way’ can take many forms, and there is a time to have a word with those who may be saying things or wearing garments, not realising the significance of the erroneous message they are sending out.
This takes courage and sensitivity and grace and love, all of which we can receive from our generous God, through Jesus Christ, Who is the way, the truth and the life.

Why do a lot of overweight women wear figure inappropriate clothes?
A lot of them wear very baggy clothes, and some clothes which are too small. On makeover shows, they usually can made a size 18 woman look pretty good by putting her in sensible clothes which make her look nice
Normally when I woman wears baggy cloths they either just don’t know how to dress themselves or they are self conscious.
Every girl has a time where they are self conscious about their appearance in one way or another.
I use to think I was overweight so I wore a lot of baggy shirts and hoodies, but now I’m comfortable and wear suitable cloths that extenuate what I have.
For the too small part, that just shows they don’t know how to dress themselves properly. Either that or they’re are stuck with cloths that once fit them, but don’t anymore. That’s what sucks about gaining weight.
