The Buck Koji fixed blade knife gives you the look and feel of a custom knife at a price that is much more reasonable. I recently got a good deal on the Koji and here are my honest opinions:
What I like about the knife:
1. The tang of your fixed blade is just as important as the lock of your pocket knife. Your Koji will come with a full tang that extends all the way to the end of the handle. This feature is great because it makes the knife much stronger and less likely to break under pressure.
2. Each Koji comes with a 3 inch blade that is large enough to be an excellent cutting tool, but small enough to legally carry with you almost anywhere.
3. My knife came razor sharp right out of the box and has no problem holding its edge. The blade is double hollow ground out of ATS34 steel. The steel is great because it gives you a nice compromise between edge retention, toughness and flexibility.
4. Adding to the Koji’s impressive design is the attractive burl wood style handle. This handle not only looks great, but is durable enough to handle everyday use/
5. To complete this package, Buck gives you a glass-top wood display box that is perfect for the Koji. Although the knife is beautiful enough to keep in a display box I have no doubt that it also makes a great work knife.
What I didn’t like:
Everything about the Koji is high quality, but I would like to see the blade available with Damascus steel. The burl wood and Damascus would look fantastic together in my opinion.
Overall:
If you’re looking for a custom-quality knife that won’t break the bank, then check out Buck’s Koji knife. With a suggested retail value of $240, it might be one of the best bargains in the knife world today.

What rifles/shotguns would include the basic hunting battery?
What rifles or shotguns does a north American hunter need. Besides bison and grizzly what rifles do I need to take north American game. Do you only need 1 centerfire rifle. So far I have a .308 and a shotgun what else do I need to take big game. Also is the Winchester Burl wood knife with a gut hook a good knife.

For almost everything known to man I use an 8 mm Mauser. The only exceptions are feral pigs that have cross bred with some Russian Swine that got lose from one of those game ranch’s. When the RS cross breeds with a feral Pollen China pig you get sows that dress out regularly at 1700 lbs and the males will go up to 2700 lbs. They are not afraid of humans and if they scent you, guess who is the hunter and who is the hunted. For them I carry a Marlin .444 lever action which is one of the best GFB game guns there is! For everyday range work where I am liable to encounter coyote, rattlesnake, Javalenia, feral dog packs, and the occasional badger. I carry a Henry lever action and a Ruger Security Six both in .357.
For birds and squirrel I use either a Ruger 10/22 in .22LR or a Le fever Nitro Express double barrel in 20 gauge. For home defense there is a Mossberg AT500 riot gun in 12 gauge.
Those are the have to have guns the want list is ten times as long and has a lot of standard anyone can have and a few that required a lot of luck to be in the right spot at the right time and having enough money to make some dreams happen,
