what kind of guitar?

I have an old 1970s yamaha guitar. its orange and brown, and it is made of wood. I think it’s a classic acoustic guitar. it had 3 nylon strings, and 3 metal ones. I took some guitar lessons about two years ago, i used this one when i was learning.after the lessons i kinda stopped playing. now, I’m starting to play again, i forgot all of my chords, but i still remember how to play tabs. I was thinking of getting a bass or electric guitar. I like the one i have now and my skill level isn’t that high yet,but i just wanted to ask when the right time to switch would be. the best song i have played is the james bond theme song, lol. I would just like to know if i should get anything new, because i kinda want an electric. so, should i gte the bass, or the electric, or just to stick with the one i already have. thx.

Depends. If youre really serious and plan on playing alot, i recomend getting a Gibson or a fender. Of courser, theres a lot of other brands u might want to look at, put these two are my favorites. If youre not planning on serious playing, you can still buy a cheaper electric guitar set that includes an amp. As for bass, it is a completly different instrument and style of playing, so you should try a friend’s before deciding. Anyway hope this helps you and good luck bro.
