Creating Attractive Wreaths
A simple but beautiful way to decorate your porch is to add a wreath to your door. They can be made in a variety of ways, shapes and styles. To make a basic wreath, procure some silk flowers and a foam ring from a craft store or shopping center. Most likely, the stems of your flowers will be too long; trim them so that there is about 1 inch of stem remaining. Then push the stems of each flower into the ring. A key to an attractive wreath is to make sure that the flowers are grouped closely enough so that the foam does not show through, but not so close that the flowers are crammed. As you add the flowers, it is a good idea to dot them with a little glue from a hot glue gun at the point where the stem comes out of the foam. Vines or other standard greenery can be used to add a festive flare. You can theme your wreath to the time of year, or use regional flowers for a more local look. Once the wreath is completed, hammer in a small nail to the top of the door and string up the wreath.
The Exotic and Eye-catching Bonsai Tree
The art of the bonsai tree started with the Japanese. The love that the Japanese had for the exquisiteness of trees led them to keep petite trees, like the bonsai tree, on display indoors. Now that tree is used as a decoration in many places, and there are many different styles to choose from. As you choose a bonsai tree for your own home or office, make sure you are aware of how much space you have available. As with any type of greenery, you will need to consider the width of the pot and the height of the tree when it is fully grown. Keep in mind that having an elegant pot or container makes a big difference! Well-chosen containers do more than just hold a plant in place-they also augment the attractiveness of the display.
Silk Plants versus Real Plants
One of the first questions that you must resolve when decorating with plants is whether you want them to be real or artificial. There are some great pros and cons to each option. Make sure that if you choose live plants, sunlight and water are readily available to them. Real plants naturally attract insects, which could be a problem where you are living. An advantage to live plants is the green thumb you develop as you care for them and watch them grow. If you are planning to change your greenery based on the seasons, if you like to move furniture and decorations around a lot, or if you yourself may be moving at some point, you will find it easy to store and move silk plants. The most important consideration to be careful of with artificial plants is how true to life they look. Artificial plants can be beautiful, but if it is obvious that they are not real, they lose some of their charm. The best compliment an artificial plant can receive is, “I thought it was real!”
Liquid Illusion Arrangements
Liquid illusion arrangements are one of the fastest-growing trends in floral design. Simply put, liquid illusion arrangements use artificial flowers but make them look as if they are in a watered vase or container. This is clearly a great idea in terms of making silk flower arrangements look more realistic. Silk flowers are all about creating the illusion of reality. In this way, the liquid illusion arrangements are far superior to ordinary designs. If you want to add a liquid illusion to your own silk arrangements, there are many ways to go about it. One of the simplest ways is to use a very strong gelatin mix. We also recommend going to your local craft store and asking for assistance in creating this liquid illusion. Often, the crafters in the floral section will be very familiar with this process and can give you their recommendations on the best products and techniques to use.

Whats the best way to do color seperations with Illustrator CS2 using XP for silk screening?
The best thing ive found is fast films but my printer wants vector art (eps). Thanx!!!
When you draw a picture in Illustrator, it should be able to be saved as an eps. (File–save as–eps) The different elements should be colored as “spot colors”, and when you output the design, it should automatically separate. If you are trying to import an image, you may be able to vectorize it in illustrator using live trace.
