ok, i live in Louisiana and i really have my heart set on becoming a body piercer, what do i need to do? where do i go to get certified?
You need to check into apprenticeships with local artists. Do not attempt to learn on your own. Only a professional can teach you the proper way. Apprenticeships are very expensive, usually anywhere between $2000 and $5000 and while you are apprenticing, you will be expected to be at the studio during normal business hours, and you will not be paid for any of your time. You will probably be responsible for all the unpleasant tasks such as cleaning, running errands, and sometimes running the front counter. Are you an artist in other ways, drawing, painting, etc. If so, put together a portfolio of your work to take with you when you discuss apprenticeships.
